This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all subscription services provided by Jenria Infotech LLP through LinShield. Our Service is accessible at linshield.com (marketing website) and app.linshield.com (application platform). By subscribing to our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
Due to the immediate access provided to our platform and services upon payment, we maintain a strict no-refund policy. This policy applies to:
- Monthly subscription fees
- Server license purchases
- Addon purchases (Terminal Access, File Transfer)
- Additional administrator licenses
- Server Role purchases
- Any other paid features or services
Why We Have This Policy
LinShield provides immediate access to server management capabilities, SSH key generation, and security features upon subscription. Once these services are activated:
- SSH keys may have been generated and deployed
- Server connections may have been established
- Security configurations may have been applied
- Data and logs may have been processed
These actions cannot be "undone" in a meaningful way, which is why refunds are not possible once service access has been granted.
We offer a 7-day free trial to allow you to evaluate our platform before committing to a paid subscription.
Trial Includes:
- Full server management capabilities
- Terminal access to connected servers
- File transfer functionality
- Up to 5 SSH keys
Trial Does Not Include:
- Server Roles (requires separate purchase)
- Additional administrators beyond the first Master Admin
We strongly encourage you to fully evaluate our service during the trial period before making a purchase decision. If LinShield does not meet your needs, simply do not proceed with a paid subscription.
How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Your account settings dashboard
- Contacting our support team at support@linshield.com
Effect of Cancellation
- Immediate Effect: Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period
- Continued Access: You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- No Partial Refunds: No refunds will be issued for unused time remaining in your billing period
- Data Retention: Your data will be retained for 30 days after the subscription ends, after which it will be permanently deleted
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must cancel before the renewal date. We will send a reminder email before your subscription renews.
While we maintain a strict no-refund policy, we may consider exceptions in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate Charges: If you were accidentally charged multiple times for the same subscription
- Technical Issues: If you were unable to access the service due to platform-wide technical failures on our end for an extended period
- Unauthorized Transactions: If you can demonstrate that a payment was made without your authorization (subject to investigation)
To request an exception, please contact our support team with detailed information about your situation. All exception requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and approval is at our sole discretion.
Removing Services
You may reduce your subscription by removing servers, addons, or additional administrators at any time:
- Changes take effect at the next billing cycle
- No refunds for the current period
- Reduced charges will reflect in your next invoice
Upgrades
When you add new services or increase your subscription:
- New services are available immediately
- Prorated charges apply for the remainder of the current billing period
- Full charges apply from the next billing cycle
If a payment fails during renewal:
- We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times
- You will receive email notifications about the failed payment
- Your service will continue for a grace period of 7 days
- After the grace period, your subscription will be suspended
- You can reactivate by updating your payment method and paying the outstanding amount
This policy is designed to comply with applicable consumer protection laws. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights:
European Union
Under EU consumer protection laws, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content services that have begun with your express consent. By subscribing to LinShield and using our services, you acknowledge that you expressly consent to the immediate provision of services and waive your right of withdrawal.
India
As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and e-commerce rules, this refund policy is clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Changes will not affect existing subscriptions retroactively.
